TCV is hiring Principal to join our Application Software team in Summer / Spring 2023. Principals are critical members of the Investment Team, drive investment ideation and quarterback deals. - A successful Principal at the fund develops actionable investment ideas, drives a comprehensive and effective execution process, and exhibits strong investment judgment. - Post-investment, Principals are actively involved in the management and monitoring of portfolio companies. - They are also responsible for training, leading, and managing Investors in their coverage sectors.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES: - Investment Origination: Deploying capital via idea generation and discrimination, sourcing (including sector coverage), deal creation, and deal evaluation: Principals work on an investment team; building upon a strong network, mine relationships with industry experts to identify broader trends and market dynamics driving growth in various technology sectors; determine the relevant sectors that merit focus; and drive the sourcing efforts and investment strategy development within those sectors. Principals develop investment theses and exhibit sound investment judgment - Deal Execution: Principals are responsible for managing the due diligence process including all business, financial, legal and technical due diligence across minority growth equity, buyout, and public deals. Alongside General Partners, they are responsible for managing the Investors and all third-party advisors and assisting with the negotiation of deal documents as well as internal and external communications. - Portfolio Company Support: Principals, as a member of the broader investment team, monitor the progress and success of the firm’s investments, working closely with portfolio company management and, at times, sitting on company boards
