    Job Description

    Are you looking to grow your career in venture capital at one of the fastest growing funds in B2B SaaS? Do you want a high amount of autonomy while collaborating on some of the most exciting investment deals on the market right now? 

    We’re looking for an Investment Associate to join our team and help us find and invest in the top early-stage companies out there. Our B2B SaaS fund and accelerator has been around for 10 years and our track record is incredible, and only getting better. This is an amazing chance to join a small investment team with the infrastructure and resources to drive deal flow and catapult your career by playing a crucial role in sourcing, evaluating and closing 80+ investments per year.

    As an Associate on our investment team, your primary role will be sourcing and assessing investment opportunities for our Accelerator. You will actively support our thesis work providing market research as we explore new verticals in the B2B SaaS space. In addition, you will be building and maintaining relationships with our portfolio founders, investors, and the broader startup ecosystem.

    What you’ll be doing:

    • Manage an outbound deal flow process and identify potential investment opportunities to reach out to.
    • Deal pipeline management - screen inbound deal flow, and review applications. 
    • Cultivate relationships with founders, angels, pre-seed and seed funds, startup communities and industry leaders, in order to source prospective investments.
    • Prepare internal investment memos and perform due diligence on potential investment opportunities
    • Support the investment team on thesis development, market mapping, and trend research

    Who you are:

    • You are located in Toronto
    • Deeply passionate about venture capital and startups, with an empathy for the founder journey.
    • You’ve worked in venture and want to grow as an investor 
    • An expert networker who isn’t afraid to put themselves out there to connect with new people.
    • Possess strong communication, analytical, and strategic reasoning skills.
    • Highly motivated and a self starter who loves sourcing in early stage ventures and evaluating a high volume of deals.
    • An entrepreneurial mindset with high integrity, a strong work ethic and takes a lot of pride in their work.
    • An exceptional understanding of the venture ecosystem and tapped into venture communities.
    • Team player who possesses intellectual curiosity, sound judgment, critical thinking and attention to detail.
    • Bonus points for early stage startup experience and bringing in your already awesome network.

     

    Compensation:

    • $120-140,000 CAD
    • Carried interest in the fund
