Overview
LLR Partners is seeking a Senior Associate to join the FinTech investment team. Senior Associates play a critical role as part of our team of investment professionals who help to grow and manage the financial technology portfolio. This is an exciting opportunity for the right individual to join an exciting and dynamic firm with significant up-side and career potential.
Accountabilities
- Originate, evaluate and execute new investments
- Identify and produce research-driven investment theses
- Perform detailed investment evaluation and review of financial, operational and strategic business drivers
- Quarterback and manage third-party diligence vendors
- Communicate diligence findings to internal and external parties
- Manage and mentor Analysts and Associates
- Develop relationships with prospective and portfolio company management teams to further reinforce and differentiate LLR as a value-added partner
Skills and Requirements
The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter and team player who can function in an entrepreneurial atmosphere with minimal supervision. Strong analytical background including both finance and accounting skills, excellent communication skills and a high level of maturity. Qualified candidates should also possess the following:
- Minimum 4 years of directly relevant private equity and/or investment banking experience
- Undergraduate degree from a top-tier university with exceptional academic achievement
- Mature, professional candidate who is a self-starter willing to accept a large amount of responsibility
- Strong work ethic, positive attitude and enthusiasm for the role
- Financial technology, financial services and/or software experience strongly preferred
