    Job Description

    AIN Ventures is seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Venture Capital Investing Intern. This is a Part-Time & Paid VC Internship / Fellowship Role for Top MBAs.  This fellowship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in early-stage venture capital, specializing in dual-use and deep-tech technologies. As part of our investment team, you will work directly with General Partners, gaining exposure to cutting-edge industries and honing your skills in investment analysis, deal sourcing, and technical diligence.


    It's a Remote position, with opportunity to travel for management meetings. Internship is paid.

Our edge comes from our foundation—military veterans with unparalleled access to government R&D channels (DoD, Intelligence Agencies) and deep technical expertise. Leveraging our proprietary AI platform, brAIN, we execute rigorous due diligence and secure early ownership positions in promising startups. With Fund II ($75M), we are scaling our successful investment model to further impact the deep-tech ecosystem.


    Key Responsibilities:


    Deal Sourcing & Initial Diligence:


    • Proactively source opportunities across technical verticals and identify emerging signals.
    • Conduct outbound outreach and screening calls with founders, leading these calls within three months of onboarding.
    • Leverage proprietary AIN networks to generate unique deal flow.


    Investment Analysis & Execution:


    • Conduct deep technical diligence, market sizing, and competitive analysis.
    • Utilize the brAIN platform to analyze and vet data for high-conviction opportunities.
    • Perform financial modeling, valuation analysis, and scenario planning.


    Team Leadership & Mentorship:


    • Guide and mentor Investment Analysts by assigning research tasks and managing timelines.
    • Develop and refine internal reporting tools for diligence tracking.


    Qualifications:


    • Passion for Venture Capital Investing
    • Prior experience or Deep Interest in venture capital, due diligence, principal investing, or as a founder/team in a venture-backed tech company
    • Proven ability to work autonomously and execute complex tasks with minimal supervision
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into compelling narratives
    • Aspirations to transition into a full-time venture capital role or launch a venture-backed tech company.


    Preferred Skills:


    • Experience with government innovation groups like AFWERX, SOFWERX, or ARPA-H.
    • Familiarity with technical diligence tools and methodologies.
    • Strong network in dual-use technology ecosystems.
