Role Description Goldman Sachs is looking for a highly motivated Associate to join the Global Healthcare team in the Investment Banking Division. The Global Healthcare group at Goldman Sachs provides strategic advice and services across a wide range of sub-sectors, including Biotechnology, Diagnostics/Life Sciences, Healthcare IT, Healthcare Services, Medical Devices, and Pharmaceuticals.

Our Associates are the engine of our deal teams, acting as a primary point of contact for clients and a bridge between senior leadership and Analysts. In this role, you will provide advice and execution for a diverse group of healthcare clients, managing projects from initial pitch to final closing across M&A, divestitures, equity and debt financings, and financial restructurings.

How You Will Fulfill Your Potential

• Strategic Advisory: Lead the creation and analysis of sophisticated financial and merger models (accretion/dilution, ROIC, debt capital analysis).
• Deal Leadership: Manage the execution of transactions, including leading business, financial, and legal due diligence workstreams.
• Content Creation: Drive the production of high-quality marketing materials, RFPs, and client presentations, ensuring intellectual rigor and creative problem-solving.
• Mentorship: Guide and mentor Analysts, ensuring work quality and contributing to the professional development of the junior team.
• Client Management: Build long-term relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor on their most important strategic decisions.

Minimum Qualifications

• Either MBA & 1+ year of investment banking experience; OR Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of investment banking/equivalent experience.
• Experience in the Healthcare sector within private equity, investment banking, or financial services is preferred
• Demonstrated experience with client coverage and the execution of M&A and capital-raising transactions.
• Familiarity with financial modeling and valuation (LBO, WACC, etc.).
• Excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.
